The Friends of St Wilfrid's School Association

Our thriving PTFA (Parent, Teacher, Friends Association), The Friends of St Wilfrid's School Association (or FOSW for short) works closely with the school to organise fundraising and social events, for both pupils and their families, throughout the school year. The Friends of St Wilfrid’s is a registered charity (charity number 800913) and run by volunteers. They welcome help from anyone within our school community.

There are lots of ways to give your support. You can become a regular member by attending termly meetings, volunteering to help at events, donate preloved uniform, bake, share ideas, help design posters and marketing material or simply donate funds by supporting the events. It all helps!

If you have limited time, you can help in other ways. The school lottery and easy funding (a cashback scheme when shopping online), both generate funds.

There is an AGM (Annual General Meeting) in September where you can learn more about The Friends of St Wilfrid’s. This is also when they vote in committee members for the upcoming school year.

Through its fundraising, The Friends of St Wilfrid's have provided many valuable resources for the school. Recent donations include our fantastic new play area, classroom books for all years, visits from Ted and Layla (therapy dogs), and funding a new cooking station for DT (enabling pupils to be able to cook within the curriculum).
