SPELLING BOOTCAMP-REVISING WORDS FROM KEY STAGE 1
In Key Stage 2 all children will also revise and revisit a specific spelling rule that they will have learnt in Key Stage 1.
Each week, the spelling rule will be introduced in class on a Monday. A short list of ‘Spelling Bootcamp’ words linked to that rule will be sent home on Monday. The following Monday, children will complete a short spelling check and move onto the next rule.

Transition to Secondary School
During the Autumn term that your child is in Year 6, you will need to apply for a place at secondary school. Information about how to do this can be found via West Sussex County Council and at gov.uk.

If your child is due to start secondary school in September 2026, the application window opens in September 2025.
You must apply for a place before the deadline of 11.59pm on Thursday 31st October 2025.
